Avoiding Dry Skin
While many people complain about having oily skin and the challenges this presents for skin care, it’s just as bad to have problems on the opposite side of the spectrum. To that end, dry skin can be just as irritating and problematic as oily skin. But luckily there are plenty of effective dry skin care tips. The first thing to keep in mind is that skin is more likely to be dry in the winter when humidity is low, so take care during these times.
For more general ways to avoid dry skin year round, make sure to ease off the hot water tap. Taking very hot showers can dry out your skin, and even with lukewarm water, showers should be limited to around five to ten minutes. Also, your skin will need the most moisture right after bathing, so always make sure to moisturize after getting out of the shower. And as a general rule, stick to soaps and other cosmetic products that are designated as moisturizing.
