Dry skin care can be a meticulous daily process, yet imperative for having a healthy life. Before you go out and buy the necessary products, use this list to determine whether you have dry skin or not:
• skin has a rough and dry texture instead of smooth
• a loss of plumpness – skin appears shrunken or dehydrated
• skin is dull in appearance
• after showering, bathing, or swimming the skin feels and looks tight
• flaking, scaling, or peeling of the skin is quite common
• itchy feeling which is sometimes intense (so intense it may interfere with proper sleep)
• calloused (toughened) skin
• normal fine lines or wrinkles in the skin become much more visible
• severe redness, inflamed areas, or tenderness in the skin
• cracks in skin or deep cuts that may bleed which are signs of extremely dry skin.
If you are one of the millions of Americans that has oily skin, then you’ve probably struggled with acne throughout your life. Those who have oily skin often suffer from clogged pores, which ultimately cause embarrassing break outs. These breakouts can cause pain and public humiliation, especially for teenagers. Many commercial acne products are made with harsh chemicals and can actually harm the skin more than help it. There are many natural skin products available that are gentle on the skin and help clear up oily patches.
Aniise soap is a perfect all-natural treatment for treating oily skin. This soap cleanses the face and leaves the skin soft and healthy. The anise plant is commonly used in aromatherapy and herbal medicine. It is also often used to flavor foods and liqueurs such as anisette and ouzo.
